I have two minds.
One very busy,
thinking
One very quiet,

knowing.
Can I listen?

Ideas – Memes – What I'm feeding my brain.
Books
Tom Peters – "The Brand YOU 50" - The harbinger of Brand YOU.  I'm reading it again after 3 years. Great stuff. Tom is one of my heroes / mentors since my days as a young MBA. Toms' web site is a great source of ideas for Personal Brands. www.tompeters.com

Michael Gerber - "The E-myth revisited". Read it for the first time 5 years ago and just decided to read it again.  WOW!  Very inspiring and insight-causing. The best part is that his ideas - while powerful - make NO SENSE for the 1 person service firms I work with, so my job is to translate the concepts - my favorite!

George Leonard - "Mastery".  Very inspiring view of life - the long term view.  The book gave me so many ideas as I created the Personal Brand mastery perspective.

Audio Cassettes
Lately I have become completely enthralled with the work of Abraham-Hicks and their teachings of the Law of Attraction.  They call it the "Science of Deliberate Creation". It is by far the clearest teaching on "the way life works" available today. They have thousands of hours of "live Abraham" available on cassette.  I listen to it whenever I can - very grounding and affirming.

I have 3 other audio cassette programs that I have listened to on a regular basis.

Conversations with God Book 1, Neal Donald Walsh – It's like really being in a conversation with God, it's how I've always imagined God would talk.  Book 3 is very good as well.  I didn't really like Book 2 - it seemed like Neal got his thoughts and God's thoughts confused.

Your Infinite Self, Stuart Wilde – What can I say, Stuart is my hero. This book and tape is Stuarts' most accessible application of "The Tao Te Ching"

Manifest your Destiny, Wayne Dyer – Based on the teachings of Shri Guruji Pilai with whom I traveled in India.

Magazines
I love FAST Company magazine and read every issue cover to cover (I'm so happy that the dot.com bust happened - shrinking the size to one-third its peak). The "Idea Virus" article in the August 2000 Issue was a major eye-opener! Plus the NJ readers group I co-founded was featured in the July 2001 Issue!!! Page 36. Several quotes from yours truly!

Trends
"Free Agent Nation". I've been a free agent my whole career and I think I have something valuable to offer this community - I've been a "free agent" since way before it was popular.

Coaching.  Being of service to others in a way that nurtures yourself is the fundamental nature of coaching.  Its a great way to make a living and create a life.

Web Sites
I visit fastcompany.com at least once a week to keep up with my fast friends.

MUSIC
The Anonymous Four is a female acapela vocal group that sings medieval chants. It is absolutely perfect to listen to while writing. www.anonymousfour.com

Health
Joe Dillon – Joe is pretty new on the natural health scene, but I am really enjoying his work. He has a great strategy for eating to produce balanced energy and a lean body – yeah baby! I've been following his formula for complete-meal shakes for several months. I love them!
