There are many wonderful teachers who have had a profound effect on my life and work. I'd like to acknowledge and introduce a few them here.
Earl Nightingale
- I'll never forget my first Earl Nightingale cassette tape program: "Lead the Field". From that moment on, I was hooked on Personal Development. I bought every tape of Earl's I could get my hands on as well as many other programs from the company he founded. His words of wisdom - "You become what you think about" - are with me to this day.
Werner Erhard
- While "Werner" and EST have been subject to a lot of questionable press, the program he created (The Landmark Forum) is absolutely the single most impactful thing I have ever experienced. The whole Landmark Education "Curriculum for Living" was like coming home for me. My soul was awakened. I absolutely endorse and recommend this program.
The "Introduction to the Forum Leader Program (IFLP)" was the perfect training ground for doing what I was born to do - teach, lead and coach.
One interesting - and extremely valuable - lesson I learned from the whole "Werner on 60 Minutes thing" is to question everything I see on TV - especially the allegedly factual reporting programs.
Stuart Wilde
- Wonderful metaphysician and author. His teachings are primarily based on the Tao Te Ching and totally resonate with me. Stuart is my role model for the way I approach life. I am so grateful that I found him. His book, "Infinite Self - 33 Steps to Reclaiming Your Inner Power" is my primary reference.
Thomas Leonard
- Truly an inspiration in my life and a great friend. Thomas' ground breaking work in the field of "Coaching", the "Teleclass" medium and "The Principles of Attraction" provide the context for what I do. I am completely "at home" with his work and I'm so glad he wrote it all down. Being mentioned in the Acknowledgments of his book "The Portable Coach" is a treasure I'll enjoy for a long time.
And now with the creation of coachville - WOW! its a great game I'm thrilled to be a part of.
Jesus
- This may seem strange but it's true for me. While I am not a "Christian" for several reasons, I am a BIG, BIG fan of Jesus - One of my favorite lines... "Jesus was not a Christian". I LOVE the book "The Gospel According to Jesus" by Stephen Mitchell.
The Hicks Family - The "Science of Deliberate Creation" has brought everything together for me. I am extremely grateful for the work that they do.
A few more I'd just like to mention:
- My Mom - Loved me completely and left me almost "hang up free"
- My Dad - His dedication to the Christian faith and amazingly successful career in "corporate America" created the space I continue to live into.
- Jonathan Randolph Price - "The Abundance Book" really helped me at a critical time in my life.
- Florence Shinn - I love "The Game of Life & How to Play it"
- Shakti Gawain - I've enjoyed learning her philosophies
- Alan Watts - Tough to read, but the wisdom of Zen is brought to life in every thing he says. "The Book" had a big impact on me.
