Q What are the reasons YOU want to be a brand

·        You know what to say - Most solo-professionals struggle with marketing because they don't know what to say

·        You know who you work with – makes it easier to decide which opportunities to take advantage of. Eg. Should you submit an article to a particular e-zine or newsletter? Should you accept an interview with a particular radio station or a Speaking gig?

·        Find an area of focus as an umbrella for all the things you do.

 

What it means to BE a brand (15 minutes)

SING – "the best thing for you would be me" by Irving Berlin

·        The courage to say who you REALLY are

·        You have to understand the problem completely – the nuances, the details (master your craft)

·        You have to build trust

·        You have to be value and service oriented

·        Fundamental Tenet: "Your life IS your work" – being a brand brings meaning to your experience of life!
